Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We also use similar browser technologies (localStorage) to store interface settings. ## 2. Which cookies and technologies we use **Strictly necessary** (the Service does not work without them): - `skein.sid` — maintaining the session and authentication. - technical cookies that Cloudflare may set to protect the Service from attacks and bots, including during the Turnstile check (see [Cloudflare's Cookie Policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/cookie-policy/)). **Functional** (stored in the browser's localStorage, improve convenience): - interface settings — the selected theme, panel state, layout. 2.1. We **do not use** analytics, advertising or tracking cookies and do not transfer data about your behaviour to third parties, except for the technical signals that Cloudflare receives during the Turnstile check and processes in part for its own purpose (see clause 7.2 of the [Privacy Policy](https://skein.net/legal/privacy/)). We collect anonymised usage statistics of the Service (see the [Privacy Policy](https://skein.net/legal/privacy/)) on the server side in aggregated form — without analytics or tracking cookies. 2.2. The skein.net website (this page and the home page) itself sets only the `skein-lang` cookie, which remembers the language you chose; the Service's own cookies listed above are used by the app.skein.net application. The technical cookies of Cloudflare described above may be set on both the website and the application. ## 3. Consent 3.1. Since we use only strictly necessary and functional cookies, a separate consent banner is not required. If in the future we add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent before setting them. ## 4. Managing cookies 4.1.
