Terms of Use
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (the "Terms" or the "Agreement") govern the relationship between the Skein service (the "Service", "we") and a user of the Service (the "User", "you").
1.2. The Service is available at https://skein.net, including its subdomains (among them app.skein.net). The Service is operated by SEBO - FZCO (DSO-IFZA, IFZA Properties, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE). Contact: info@skein.net.
1.3. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and accept the Terms. If you do not agree with the terms, do not use the Service.
1.4. The Service is not intended for persons under 16. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
2. Definitions
- Space — a workspace that brings together projects and the users working in them.
- Project — a set of tasks within a Space.
- Content — any data you create, upload or place in the Service (projects, tasks, comments, attachments, etc.).
- Agent — a program or AI agent connected to the Service over the MCP protocol or the API with an API key and acting on your behalf according to your instructions.
3. Description of the Service
3.1. Skein is a task tracker for people and AI agents. You and your Agents create and manage projects and tasks in Spaces; an Agent connects to the Service over MCP or the API and does in the Service what you asked it to. A Space can be worked on together in real time.
3.2. The Service is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available".
4. Account and access
4.1. You register with an email address.
4.2. You are responsible for keeping access to your email, password and API keys secure, as well as for all actions within your account, including the actions of Agents you have connected.
5. Rights to Content and licence
5.1. All of your Content remains yours. We claim no rights to it.
5.2. You grant us a limited licence to store, display, process, create previews of, back up and transmit your Content — solely to the extent necessary for the technical operation of the Service and for providing its features to you and to those you have given access. We do not use Content for any other purpose.
5.3. You confirm that you hold all necessary rights to the Content you place.
6. Shared access
6.1. You can give access to your Spaces and projects:
- (a) to other users of the Service;
- (b) by other means available in the Service.
7. Acceptable use
7.1. Use of the Service is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), which is an integral part of the Terms. It is prohibited to place unlawful Content, Content that infringes the rights of third parties, and other Content specified in the AUP.
8. Responsibility for Content
8.1. You bear full responsibility for your Content in accordance with the law applicable to you.
8.2. We do not pre-moderate Content and are not responsible for user Content. On receiving a substantiated complaint, we may respond, including by removing Content and/or restricting access or blocking the account.
9. Deletion of account and data
9.1. You can delete your account in the account settings of the Service; if you own Spaces with other members, delete those Spaces first. If you cannot sign in, send a request to privacy@skein.net from the email address the account is registered to; we then delete your data from our servers within 30 days and notify you at that address once deletion is complete.
9.2. Content you created in Spaces of other users remains in those Spaces after your account is deleted, and you are shown as its author under a neutral pseudonym instead of your name. Hashes of your former email address and username are kept so that they cannot be registered again.
10. Changes to the terms
10.1. We may change the Terms. We notify you of material changes by email or through the Service interface. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.
11. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
11.1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties.
11.2. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or lost profits arising in connection with the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
12. Termination of access
12.1. We may restrict or terminate your access to the Service if you breach the Terms or the AUP, place unlawful Content, or if there is a threat to the security and operation of the Service.

13.1. The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
